Macbeth, once seen as the mighty and ambitious warrior and, the honorable Scottish Thane of Glamis. He was know to be genuine, honest man who is loyal to his king and would do anything to protect his country. In the play Macbeth, by William Shakespeare, Macbeth undergoes a transformation from good to evil, which brings him the crown and title, King Macbeth, but it also brings him his death. However Macbeth did not reach the transformation from a genuine, honest and mighty warrior to an evil tyrant alone, there were key motivational factors guiding him. Throughout the play the Three Witches, Lady Macbeth, and Macbeth himself were all motivational factors that manipulated Macbeth into evil. When the first of the prophecies is proven true, Macbeth then considers the idea of murdering Duncan for the first time. This is his first step on the journey to his downfall, as the Three Witches had planned. The Three Witches plan has succeeded, they had brought out the greed in Macbeth, allowing him to make the most important decision - to kill King Duncan. Macbeths malevolence and deceptiveness are sown further when he becomes so obsessed with the witches prophecies to his own friend Banquo, that he decides to hire men to kill him and his son Fleance. After Macbeth went through the murder of Duncan and Banquo, he slowly lost his sanity, it is at this point that the witches were easily able to control his mind. They have succeeded in bringing out the Evil qualities in Macbeth and are ready to finish their game and make sure Macbeth continues to spiral downward. With Hecates lead, the witches plan to bring Macbeth to his death by making him overconfident, they do this by presenting him with three apparitions. Why Hackers Do The Things They Do? Hackers. You know them as gangly kids with radiation tans caused by too many late nights in front of a computer screen. Evil beings who have the power to wipe out your credit rating, cancel your cable TV, raise your insurance premiums, and raid your social security pension. Individuals who always avert their eyes and mumble under their breath about black helicopters and CIA transmissions. Paranoid, social deviants who could start World War III from the privacy of their bedrooms. Or so the mainstream media would have you believe. Hackers with the most information gain the highest prestige within the community. They also gain a great deal of power from that information. Most people cannot cancel the phone service of those who upset them. To a truly proficient hacker, this is not a very difficult problem. To almost all computer professionals the actions of hackers are despicable and justify all sorts of nasty punishments. I fully agree that hacking is a criminal offense and should be prosecuted. Stella often left me to my own devices, meaning I spent most summer days running experiments based on the latest episode of Mythbusters I had seen. Some days I grew samples of mold in sticky notes, other days I constructed balloon-powered rockets. The day I learned birch bark was highly flammable was the same day I learned what a burn-ban was†¦ And nearly poisoned my sister. In fact, sometimes the only way theyll ever exist is if you make them yourself.† This proved true one summer day when my mom left for a routine grocery trip and I ventured outside to see how I could entertain myself. Head held high, grinning like a fool, I proudly presented the hotdogs to my sister who was reasonably impressed with my feat, as well. I soon discovered it would be years before she would eat anything I prepared for her. I did not understand why my mom was so exasperated when she arrived home that day, after all, I made Stella lunch. However, an icy wave of panic spread through me when my mom explained that she had recently treated our record-sized birch tree’s bark with a pesticide to keep it healthy. â€Å"How ironic,† I thought before bursting into tears, horrified that I may have poisoned my sister. Poison Control instructed my sister to drink plenty of water and only seek medical help if symptoms develop. Thankfully, Stella was completely fine after ingesting the tainted dogs. Although I was grounded from my â€Å"research equipment† including my magnifying glass, I gained a higher appreciation for my sister that day. Eventually, she forgave me and now we always share a laugh about the birch bark hotdogs. Every cruel prank, experiment gone awry, and emotional harassment that took place in our childhoods has brought us closer together. Having a babysitter may have prevented many questionable activities, but inhibiting a child’s natural curiosity of the surrounding world would also stunt the live-and-learn element necessary for personal development. As the Mythbusters frequently said, â€Å"Failure is always an option.† Because without failure there is no room to grow.
